I saw this in the paper this morning, I was wondering if it's the auto trans overheating, what about the transmission cooler, does it need upgrading? I guess it isn't that easy or that would have been explored already.

Not good the auto failed in such a short period! I won't say they were outperformed by a Volvo![]()

Do I assume the Mustang has the ZF 6 speed auto, same as the local product? I thought they were meant to be the bee's knees?![]()
Guessing a performance vehicle should already have that in place knowing temp/conditions in Aust.!!
I wonder if someone had tuned it?![]()
Getting off track again

Why are the fapping around with a stang, it'll just end up sideways around a pole/in gutter like other 'stangs
surely they would have had more than 1 car to test. The R&D from ford would have put the car through their paces before hitting the market.
I see very little reason for highway patrol cars to be anymore then the base model, considering the pursuit laws and governing conditions in most states now. So other then a set of fancy high vis stickers how about the revenue goes back to supporting the boys in blue with more suitable resources like assistance with PTSD and other family or psychological assistance packages. Atleast that has some benefit.
I was reading about this on one of the Ford forums
& some of the boys were saying that this is only to be expected as
Ford was only bringing very low spec Mustangs ("Show Ponies") to Australia.
They were saying it's a shame but they are not expecting anything special from these cars.
