It can be purchased with a "GTO" Spindle Cartridge and Tensioner Mount to suit the F-body drive (as fitted to our LS1/LS2/LS6 Au vehicles). LS3-style heads are still required (at this stage). VCM have just done a HeartBeat install into a HSV GTO - very tidy with lots of room to spare.

Turbos are OK, but I prefer to be Oversize, Stroked & Blown!

Thanks for the info Ken. I really like the look of the heartbeat blowers

Digging up an old thread here.

Currently weighing up the cost benefit of replacing my LS3 with a LSA as a charging option vs a Harrop kit. Given a brand new LSA is $10.7k and a Harrop 1900 is $9.8k.

Assuming I would need to spend around

    - $1.5k on a w2a cooler and piping
    - $500 for a re-tune
    - $2k misc piping, belts, cable extensions etc
    - I'll do all the labour

Will the E38 run the LSA?

Assuming the blocks are the same with the same mount points. From what I've read its basically an LS3 with low comp pistons and a 1900 on top.

Can't see any reason why an E38 won't run it!

They have boost tables and options for FI.

It's a pity the Aus dollar is so low atm, as you can buy a new LS9 supercharger kit from GM for $6600 USD, which will bolt straight on to your LS3.

Just need LS9 accessory drive kit $1800 USD, plus LS9 waterpump, valley cover and coolant bleeds...

Actives do them everyday of the week, drive in/out for 20k, with you keeping your motor or about 17k if they exchange. Your pricing is probably on par, with ~3k for labour and tune.

May I ask why you won't want a Maggie 1900? Considerably cheaper from CAPA, 7k for the kit.

The Heartbeat would probably be on par pricing wise with the Harrop and is a much more efficient unit.

You can also do as above and bolt the LSA blower on rather than the 2300 from the LS9. But IMO the Maggie is the best bang for buck.
Plenty of people say the 2300 would be the better option but with Gen F GTS's deep in the 10's now, the 1900 is more than capable.
